Slimming World take 2

So a year ago I quit slimming world I cant even remember why but I assume I just lost the will power. In the time since I left I gained all the wight I lost plus another stone *sigh*

Any way I have been back and have had 3 weigh ins so far

Week 1 - 8.5lbs lost
Week 2 - 4 lbs lost
Week 3 - 1.5lbs lost

So 3 weeks and 1 stone so far! My aim was to loose 2 stone by the end of the summer holidays. I still hope I can do this but I need to see a pretty good loss next week I think. I was disappointed with tonight's weigh in but I think it might have had a little something to do with the monthly visitor.

We will see next week any way :)

Logans hospital appointment

We have finally had an appointment for Logan at the hospital regarding his Autism assessment. He was reffered by our GP in March and originally given an appointment for May, this was cancelled as for some reason they gave us an appointment for the epilepsy Dr, we got another appointment for July which was cancelled with 24 hours notice again an appointment for the wrong Dr. We were then given an appointment for November which I really was not happy about given the previous delays so I put a complaint in. A few days later another cancellation letter came in the post with a new date for December. I was fuming by this so I chased up the complaint and got my health visitor in on the action. Thank fully the secretary at the hospital rang and gave us an appointment for a few days later.

Now the fun part, the appointment.... it was a nightmare. Logan does not do well in new places or with waiting times so having to wait 20 mins past his appointment time, teamed with it being a new place and lots of children playing on their DS games at the side of him he went into a COMPLETE meltdown, screaming crying, running away you name it he did it! I decided to take it as a positive though if ever there was a time for him to show the Dr what he is like this was it!

We now are going to have to wait another 2 months for an appointment as the pediatrician has to get a reply from his nursery before the next appointment and obviously they are off for the summer.

I finally feel like we are on the road to getting answers for him now, even though I know its a very long road ahead

A year on :)

Ok so its been nearly a year since I updated my blog. Dexter is now 1 and walking. Logan is now 4 and Lexi will be 6 next month. Time really does fly by. We have had a very busy year keeping busy.

Logan has started a new nursery which he will be staying at until he starts school in Jan, he should have
started school in September but we chose to put it back as we were hoping we would be further along in his autism assessment and that his speech would start and pick up. He is doing well but really does need a lot of 1 on 1 help and is not quite ready for school yet.

Lexi has 2 more days left in year 1 and will be in her final year at infant school in September, im amazed how quick the years seem to be flying by and I am incredibly proud of the progress that Lexi has made over the last 12 months and so please that she has formed a close bond with a few great friends.

Dexter just had his 1st birthday and is a little sweet heart, he has just started walking and is very chatty and happy. He is a complete pleasure all the time, ok maybe not on the odd few nights where he decides 1am is time to wake up and try wake the whole house up, but thank fully those nights arnt as frequent as they used to be.

Funky Giraffe bibs & more review (part 2)

Back in May I blogged about some fab products we received from funky giraffe bibs!

Now little man is here and big enough to fit in them its time for part 2!

Lets start  with the bodysuits! We received the sky rocket vest!

Here is my little poser showing it off

The material is high quality and very soft and you may remember me saying in the part 1 review how good the quality of the print is!

I love the designs because they are not the standard slightly boring things you tend to find in high street shops.

I like things that stand out and these sure do :)

The vests cost £8 and while this is higher than the average baby vest I do believe they are well worth the extra pennies due to the high quality and the uniqueness of them :)

Next is the hats :)

Its still pretty big on Dexter but as you can see it is very cute!

I like the unusual style and it reminds me of a little elf.

The hats are £4 and come in a variety of colour combos. Again the hats are very good quality and very soft :)

I Particularly like the pink and green one but not so sure my little man would agree with that .

Bibs :)

The bibs are funky little things that come in so many fantastic designs!

As shown in part one of the review they are backed with fleecy material and attach using poppers.

So far they have passed the absorb test of do they keep clothes clean and dry as it has caught all of Dexters milk and keeps his clothes dry!

The real test will be when we start to wean him!

The bibs are £4 if you buy them individually but funky giraffe have a fantastic discount scheme where the more you buy the cheaper they get! For example if you buy 5 they cost £11 working out at £2.20 each or 10 would be £20.50 working out at £2.05 each!

I believe they are well worth the money! They look awesome on looking more like a clothing accessory than a bib and do exactly what they are supposed to. I plan on buying at least 5 closer to xmas when we will be starting to consider weaning :)

All in all I am loving funky giraffe bibs products and I think Dexter does too :)
